Hi all! I’ve disappeared for the past half year, I know, I know. But I have a reason: I’ve been busy!
I’ve traveled a bit. We took a family road trip to Portland, Oregon to visit my side of the family. Then the next day after we drove back, we hopped on a plane to Taiwan to visit Steve’s side of the family. In September, we took another trip to the mid-west to visit Steve’s friends and family, and in the meanwhile went to New Orleans for a mini-vacation within the vacation. And right before the end of the year, we drove up to Lake Tahoe to play in the snow.
I’m experiencing the terrible two. Except it doesn’t start at 2, it started soon after my son turned one. Although it’s really hard dealing with his temper-tantrum and stubbornness sometimes, it’s also the most satisfying seeing him learn and grow, and developing his own personality.
I’m expecting a second baby in less than three months. We found out the news soon after returning from our Taiwan trip. Unexpected, but exciting, and extremely exhausting. Can’t wait to see how to siblings will interact with each other.
I’ve launched an Etsy shop Mochi Mochi Shop toward the end of last year. So far I only have a couple items, but I’m hoping to stock up on the inventory slowly over time. It’s not easy finding time to craft with a busy toddler who is curious at everything I do (and grabbing everything from my hands, but it’s my goal this year to grow the Etsy shop.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my excuses for not updating the blog. I actually have a lot of posts in draft, but never had the time to finish off the posts and edit the pictures. I’ll work hard to finish off those posts, especially the DIYs on my son’s first birthday party, before he turns two in a few months!
In the meantime, wish you all a great year!
